Revit 2D Man in a Wheelchair

Revit Accessibility Guide

Download a Detail Item Family (rfa. File) for Revit 2019 showing a man in a wheelchair in top view for floor plans. The accessibility clearance dashed lines are parametric and have a radius parameter.

Revit 2D Wheelchair Symbol for Accessibility design

Designing with the actual rotation space will help you provide enough clear floor space for a wheelchair to turn smoothly. Revit 2D Wheelchair Family will help you provide better accessibility drawings. Requiring enough internal clear floor space for a wheelchair to make a 180° turn, accessible bathrooms must have either a 60” (152.5 cm) diameter turning circle or a T-shaped turning space located within a 60” (152.5 cm) square with a minimum of 36” (91.4 cm) wide arms.

Technical Specification

  • Revit 2D Wheelchair radius of rotation is parametric.
  • The Revit 2D Wheelchair Family has been carefully drawn within Autodesk Revit to ensure the families are optimized for Revit. There are no splines in the drawing.
  • Each figure includes a masking region that could be turned on and off
  • Line weights will be updated according to your Line Weights options (Detail Items category).

Please make sure your Revit version is compatible with the product version
