To place a Symbols, load the Family into your project, and use Annotate > Symbol. 

Each symbols has 4 layers than could be turned on and off: 
1. Inner Fill 
2. Fill
3. Inner Lines
4. Boundary Lines

To access the layers: Visibility / Graphics > Imported Categories

A leader can be added to each Symbol, and the arrowhead could be changed from the Type Properties menu (Edit Type).  

Line weights will be updated according to your Line Weights options (Generic Annotations category).
